Visit Wrenbury .. And stay awhile
With its canal side pub, good transport links and rural feel, Wrenbury is an ideal place to visit. Nestling in the Cheshire countryside, the red sandstone of St Margaret’s Church and the several black and white houses dating from the 17th century are a delight. Why not stay awhile, sample the local eateries, try your hand at gin making or throw a pot !
With a canal side pub, a café by the local recreation ground and a variety of eating places a little further afield gives plenty of choice for visitors. Why not walk part of the Wrenbury Circular Walk before refuelling.
Camping and touring spaces are available just outside the village, on the way to Marbury, where there are also glamping pods. Canal side there are cabins to rent with a fishing option. There is a B and B and self-catering too.
A fifteen mile circular walk around Wrenbury which can be split into sections to cater for all styles of walker. Explore, flora, fauna and wildlife. See the seasons as they change. Discover Baddiley Church and Baddiley reservoir which used to supply Nantwich with drinking water upto the 1920’s
Shrewsbury with its innovative indoor market. Chester with its city walls. Liverpool with its dockside and of course Manchester with its stunning libraries are all easy trips by train from Wrenbury. Llandudno, Conwy and Ludlow can be reached too. Cardiff is just three hours away.
